Ahoy, Assassins! Black Flag Resynced's Codes Are Still Live — Here's How to Cash Them In

If you're hoping that Black Flag Resynced has quietly added a bunch of new redeemable codes, here's the deal: it hasn't. The promos are still running from last time, which is honestly fine by me — because there are some worthwhile rewards on the line.

And not just cosmetic stuff, either. Sure, you can grab fresh sails to dress up your ship, but these codes also drop Animus keys. Collect enough of those, and Edward Kenway can unlock one of three new swords. That's a pretty solid reason to track them down.

So which codes are active right now? There are two, and neither one carries an official expiration date. That doesn't mean they'll stick around forever, though. The first code is a weird case in particular — producer Justin Ng said it would remain available for a limited redemption period when it went live, but players trying to redeem it are hitting an error. Is the thing actually expired, or is Ubisoft having a hiccup? Nobody can say for sure at the moment.

There's another path to claim rewards, too, and that's Twitch Drops. The previous round, which offered the Rustborne Swords and the Cheetah Claw Cat Pet, has already wrapped up, so you're out of luck there unless Ubisoft brings them back. Still, it's worth checking the active Twitch Drops campaigns periodically to see if anything new shows up.

Now, if you really want a unique code, there's the Red Bull quiz. It's a bit of a maze, but the steps aren't bad. Head to the page and find the Spin button — that kicks off the questions. There are six in total, and yes, you only need to answer one of them correctly. From there, enter your name and email, and you'll get your own code. One heads-up: when you redeem it, the game might tell you the reward isn't available yet. That's apparently intentional. Red Bull will email you when it actually lands in-game, so don't sweat it if you don't see it immediately.

As for redeeming all of these, the in-game route is the most straightforward. Pull up the pause menu, hit the Store prompt in the top right corner, then select Redeem Code on the lower left side of the screen. Console players have reported trouble with this from time to time, though, and if that happens to you, you can switch to Ubisoft Connect. Just open the app, tap your profile icon, and choose Key Activation. Or skip that entirely and use Ubisoft's official Redeem codes website. Both of those options need a Ubisoft Connect account, so if you don't already have one, you'll want to set it up before trying anything.
