Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes are your shortcut to free Golden Keys, and those keys open Golden Chests packed with loot. We're talking Epic and Legendary guns, plus cosmetics for your Vault Hunters. Some codes stick around for a long time. Plenty of them vanish fast, though—sometimes in a matter of hours. So it's worth checking back often and redeeming anything you see before it's gone.
Before any of that works, you've gotta link a SHiFT account to whatever platform you're playing on. Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, doesn't matter—the accounts need to be connected. You can do that from the SHiFT tab in the main menu or pause menu. The quick way is to log in with your platform account, which automatically creates and links a SHiFT account. If you'd rather, you can make a SHiFT account separately and link it manually.
Once you're set up, redeeming codes is easy. Each one is 25 digits, and they only work once per SHiFT account. After you've used a code, that's it—you can forget about it. Golden Keys are the usual reward, and they let you open Golden Chests for powerful gear. Some codes instead give you skins or other cosmetic goodies for specific characters.
A lot of these codes are temporary. If a code has an expiration date, don't sit on it. If there's no date attached, it's usually safe to assume it's permanent. Either way, checking regularly is the smart play because new codes can drop without warning.
Gearbox and Randy Pitchford are the folks to watch if you want to catch codes early. Historically, they've announced them on social media and Pitchford's Twitter. We'll keep this page updated with the valid codes we know about, so you don't have to hunt around.
Honestly, the main thing is to redeem codes quickly. They're free rewards, and missing out just because you waited too long stings.
